She killed a deer

There is a woman among the snakes who once dreamed that she was a man and killed animals in the chase. Upon waking, she assumed her husband’s garment, took his gun and went out to test the virtue of her dream. She killed a deer. Since then she has not left off man’s costume… nothing less than another dream could make her return to her gown.

Elle tua un cerf

Parmi les serpents il y a cette femme, qui rêva une nuit qu’elle était un homme et tuait des animaux à la chasse. En s’éveillant elle revêtit les habits de son mari, prit son fusil et sortit éprouver la vertu de son rêve. Elle tua un cerf. Depuis ce jour elle s’habille comme un homme… Seul un autre rêve la ramènerait à ses robes.

The performance was to embody a non-body trough a series of still and moving images within the duration of the event (about 3 hours).

Louisa Grimm was haunting me, every night I would say hello to my dearest ghost, and I was then, able to create images of her trough my own (story) body.

Untitled (The grapefruit race), is a collaboration with Melanie Jame Wolf (http://www.savage-amusement.com)

The performance is part of Not Ready Yet project initiated by Performance artist/curator Willem Wilhelmus and video/performance artist Tomasz Szrama.
With the project Not Ready Yet they want to concentrate their collaborative energies on presenting their own art. The three week exhibition is meant to act as a lively dialogue between live performance and its documentation. « Lively » also in the sense of « not ready yet », of something in process.
